The Vanishing: Far Cry 6 X Stranger Things - Upside Down Bunker
Upside Down Bunker has the exact same layout as the Soviet Bunker but has 2 different sets of lighting. When the player arrives here by entering the portal from the soviet bunker - upside down bunker is being inspected by soviet soldiers. Lighting in the bunker is somewhat spooky but stable. [Spoiler Warning] When player goes back to the bunker, soviet soldiers are in combat with Kuklis and Demogorgons. There are red lighting flashing everywhere.
The design for this mission changed last minute like this so we had to come up with a way to do this 2 different lighting status. Indirect lighting solution for Far Cry 6 was static global illumination so I had to redo lighting for this bunker. First, I've set the neutral tone of ambient/ generic lighting. After this - I've created 2 different sets of lighting as 2 different dynamic mission layers, which Level Design team can turn on/ off per mission beats. This also means all these 2 sets light have to be dynamic + shadow, which is quite expensive in Far Cry engine. Quite a bit of optimization had to be done before shipping the entire lighting for the mission.

All in all, it turned out to be great and it was very pleasant to work with the team again !
